20/20 Vision

On Sunday our associate pastor used a phrase we’ve all heard before: 20/20 Vision. But this time when he said the words, something clicked in my brain. I hope I can put into words what I felt God was saying.

As we proceeded through this 2020 election year, we saw the stage being set for the most corrupt election our country has ever experienced. For months prior to the election, Democrats pushed the necessity of absentee voting, supposedly because of the pandemic. People all over the country received multiple ballots in the mail whether they wanted them or not. Some people received ballots in more than one state as did many people who have died. (One common theme was, My father would never have voted for Joe Biden if he had been alive.)

Politicians pushing absentee voting insisted there is no evidence that voting by absentee ballots is any less safe than voting in person, although they were on record having emphatically said just the opposite in the past.

While this was going on, I read Licensed to Lie, Exposing Corruption in the Department of Justice. I was appalled at what I learned about corruption at the highest levels in our government.

Since the election, more and more fraud has been exposed while the main stream media and the liberal left scream that there’s no evidence of election fraud and courts refuse to look at the evidence. Once again, I am horrified at what I’m seeing.

So what does all this have to do with 20/20 Vision? I believe the term “20/20 Vision” is symbolic of the fact that in the year 2020, God has given many of us 20/20 Vision about the true state of our government. Obviously, it was no surprise to God because He knows it has been going on for some time. I, however, have been reluctant to believe it because this is America.

Throughout the season we’ve come through, one of my favorite comments to Donn has been, “Toto, I don’t think we’re in Kansas anymore,” (Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz), and, “Unbelievable.” Circumstances have forced me to believe things are going on in “Kansas” (this country) that I would never have believed to be true.

Have you been experiencing 20/20 Vision about the state of our government in the year 2020? If so, you’ll agree that 20/20 Vision is uncomfortable and unpopular in some circles, even among professing Christians. However, in other circles, people are finally facing the truth about our nation. We are being driven to our knees by the depth of corruption we see, and we are praying for our nation as we’ve never prayed before.

If our nation falls to socialism and Marxism, we’ll know we did not go down without a fight. We’ll know we didn’t respond placidly as Eli and Hezekiah did when told of the disasters that would come on Israel because of their sins. Instead, endowed with 20/20 vision and the strength of the Lord, we will fight until this Country is once again One nation under God.
