ONE STEP AT A TIME

It’s been about a month and a half since I last shared about how the Lord is leading in my life. Since it’s good for me to put into words what’s happening in my world, I’ve decided to attempt to do that today.

In the natural, I’m consumed with keeping up with the plan an integrated healthcare group have composed for me to help deal with a couple of issues I’ve been concerned about.. I’ve had appointments in Erie at least once a week, am on a 135-day-elimination diet eating things I’ve never heard of and not eat many things I used to eat every day. I follow some therapy routines two or three times a day and take various supplements. (Sarah laughs when I tell her I have to drink my breakfast!)

All of this helps keep me occupied while we wait on the Lord to see what doors He will open for us to take the message He’s given me to the body of Christ. Our nine-year-old granddaughter, Sarah, continues to be a constant in our lives, coming for an overnight visit almost every weekend. What a blessing that is.

In addition to all this, I’ve felt prompted to pull out a manuscript of an “as told to” book (Rock Bottom) that I wrote close to forty years ago. (I was actually surprised that it is quite well-written!)  I’ve also felt led to begin work on another book prompted by the message I believe God gave me for the body of Christ, A Living Sacrifice. It’s foundation will be material from some of the devotionals in my first book, Homespun Faith, and other material I found as I’m once again poring over very old journals.

Little by little, I’ve found myself getting back into a pattern of writing some part of two days a week and looking forward to time spent at my computer in my office upstairs.

Another related development is that our oldest granddaughter, Joy Parunin, recently wrote her first book (Keepers of the Way, available on Amazon) and published it through a different company than the one we used in the past. She says it’s quite user friendly; and if we want to use that company, she will help us. This has eased my mind about publishing books if that’s the direction the Holy Spirit leads us.

So one step at a time, we continue to thank God for health and strength to do the things He prompts us to do. I would appreciate your prayers for wisdom and grace as I work on Rock Bottom and A Living Sacrifice, as well as complete the other half of my 135 day diet.

Help us, Father, to make of our bodies a living sacrifice every moment of every day as you guide us by your Holy Spirit! Thank you for the blessing of belonging to you. Amen.
